Our Focus

Who We Are

Empowered Speech, Language and Learning is a family and faith-centered business focused on providing quality speech and language therapy to children and families in a compassionate, loving, supportive and empowering approach to therapy. As a mom of four sons, I know what it is like to strongly desire for your children to have the best start possible.  I was able to provide that for my sons in their speech, language and learning.  And as a homeschool parent, I believe homeschool families deserve to have access to high quality speech and language therapy from someone who understands the life of a homeschooling family.

I am focused on nurturing your child’s skills and I believe having stronger communication skills significantly increases your child’s opportunities for success at every age. I will use his/her strengths to improve his/her weaknesses. I believe it’s very important to incorporate therapy into the context of the family, and seek to empower not only the child but also the people in the life of the child to work together to see maximum growth.

After using a combination of diagnostic tools and evaluations, I will develop an individualized therapy plan to help your child become empowered to become the best communicator he or she can be.

What We Offer

Empowered Speech, Language and Learning strives to establish relationships with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure that our client’s needs are met. Delivering high quality and ethical intervention to my patients is my primary goal.

I administer Comprehensive Evaluations, including written reports, followed by individualized treatment plans.  Caregiver involvement is highly encouraged with home activities offered and demonstrated during therapy.

Who We Treat

Providing compassionate, loving, supportive and empowering therapy services to both pre-school and school-aged patients and homeschool families is what sets Empowered Speech, Language and Learning apart. My purpose is to provide pre-school patients and their families with the support that they need to foster communicative growth for their little ones and school-aged patients (including high school age) with the therapeutic tools that will allow them to lead their most optimal and successful life personally, socially, and academically.

I treat speech and language disorders related to developmental delays, hearing impairment, communication, expressive and/or receptive language delays, articulation/speech delays, tongue thrust, fluency disorders, autism, pragmatic language/social skills, auditory processing, memory, literacy and academic delays and cognitive deficits.   One-on-one therapy sessions are provided in the home, in my private therapy office, or at a site agreed on by the family. Therapy is designed to integrate the family and home life as much and as quickly as possible.

I want your child to be empowered to thrive in his or her world!
